Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Kith (getkith.tech) is a personal relationship manager: it helps you remember the people you care about, when you last talked to them, their birthdays and when to get back in touch. This policy explains what data Kith processes, why, who helps us run it, and the rights you have. It applies to the website and the installable app at getkith.tech.
1. Who is responsible
The controller responsible for processing your data is Yannick Morgan, Giebeleich 2, 8058 Zürich. You can reach us at yeigensatz@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
Your account
When you create an account we process your email address, your name, your profile picture (if you add one or
sign in with Google) and technical data needed to keep you signed in (session tokens, IP address, browser and
device type, time of sign-in). If you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email
address and profile picture with us (the scopes openid, email and
profile). Kith does not request access to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Drive or any
other Google data.
What you put into Kith
Kith stores the information you enter or import about your contacts: names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses and locations, birthdays, company and job title, social media profiles, photos, notes, relationships (for example partner and children), interests, tags and groups, logged touchpoints (calls, meetings, messages), reminders and how often you want to stay in touch. You decide what you enter; please only add information you are allowed to keep, and use Kith for your own personal relationships.
Optional connections
Only if you turn them on in Settings:
- iCloud contacts sync – your Apple ID email and an app-specific password, used only to read your contacts from iCloud (CardDAV) and copy them into Kith. The password is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Kith never writes to or deletes from your iCloud contacts.
- Email touchpoints – your email address and an app-specific password for your mailbox (IMAP), stored encrypted. Kith reads only message headers (sender, recipients, date, subject and message ID) of the last 90 days to log when you emailed one of your contacts. It never reads message bodies or attachments and never sends email from your account.
- Calendar subscriptions – calendar links (ICS URLs) you add, used to show meetings with your contacts.
- Email digest – the address you choose, your time zone and preferred day and hour, so Kith can email you a summary of who to reach out to, upcoming birthdays and reminders.
On your device
Kith stores your theme preference in your browser's local storage, and the installable app caches Kith's own files (not your data) so it opens quickly. Our sign-in provider sets cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. Kith uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
3. Why we process it
- To provide Kith to you: your account, your contacts and the features you use (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, for example bot protection at sign-in (our legitimate interest).
- To send the emails you asked for, such as the digest (your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings at any time).
We do not sell your data, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models. We never look at your contacts except where you ask us for help or where the law requires it.
4. Google user data
Kith uses Google only to let you sign in. The name, email address and profile picture we receive from Google are used solely to create and identify your Kith account and to show who is signed in. They are not shared with third parties except the sign-in provider named below, not used for advertising, and not transferred or sold. Kith's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Kith's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
5. Service providers
We use these providers to run Kith. They process data only on our behalf and under data processing agreements:
- Hostinger – the server that runs Kith.
- Supabase – the database where your Kith data is stored (data centre in Ireland, EU).
- Clerk (USA) – sign-in and account management, including Sign in with Google; may use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots at sign-in.
- Google (USA) – only if you choose Sign in with Google.
- Mapbox (USA) – maps and place search. Your browser loads map images from Mapbox, and the places you search for are sent to Mapbox.
- Resend (USA) – delivers the digest and other emails you asked for.
- Apple and your email provider – only if you connect iCloud contacts or email touchpoints; Kith then connects to them with the credentials you provided.
Some providers are in the USA or otherwise outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA. Where that is the case, transfers are based on the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You can delete single contacts at any time. When you delete your account in Settings, all your Kith data – contacts, notes, touchpoints, reminders, photos, connections and settings – and your sign-in account are deleted immediately. Copies may remain in our database provider's encrypted backups for a short period until they are overwritten.
7. Security
All connections use HTTPS. Every account's data is kept separate and is only available to that signed-in account. Passwords for optional connections are stored encrypted, and photos are only served through signed links.
8. Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw consent at any time. You can export all your data as a file and delete your account yourself in Kith's Settings. For anything else, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch), or the authority in your EU country.
9. Children
Kith is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their account data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when Kith changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; for important changes we will let you know in the app or by email.
